Modify users, groups, access, and status

Use Ambari Admin > Users to manage users and groups.

You can manage local users and remote users set up in ldap or active directories. An Ambari administrator can control the access level for any user. An Ambari administrator can both create and modify local users and groups.
  • In Ambari Admin > Users, click Users to display the current users known to Ambari.
  • To modify access for a user, click Add Users , then click Edit.
  • In Add Users, click an option from the User Access list .
  • In Ambari Admin > Users, click Groups to display the current groups known to Ambari.
  • To modify access for a group, click Add Groups , then click Edit.
  • In Add Group, click an option from the Group Access list .
