This release (1.2.1) of Apache Ambari includes the new features and improvements:
Confirm Host screen now checks for potential conflicts in host selection.
Performance on Jobs View improved, with server side paging and sorting. List no longer limited to most recent 500 jobs.
DAG UI updated to provide more intuitive display.
If installation fails, can re-start process without having to manually uninstall first.
Can customize users for master services.
Can upgrade Ambari server without having to reinstall entire stack.
Can manage clusters where external hostnames do not match internal hostnames (for example, on ec2)
